An Even More Exciting NASCAR Season in Florida

February is the month all NASCAR fans have been waiting for. That’s when the new season begins and the opening weeks will include the much-anticipated Daytona 500 on February 18.

Just about anything can happen in a NASCAR race and at any time. That doesn’t just make it a great sport to watch but also to bet on. Imagine the excitement of your selection leading the way with just a few laps to go. Or the thrill of seeing the car you’ve placed a wager on making up ground and hopefully going on to win the race.

Gambling on sport has become incredibly popular in recent years. It’s not just the US who has seen their sports betting industry expand. The past couple of years have seen similar expansion in Ontario after the province allowed private gambling companies to operate.

Now Canadians love heading online to check the latest odds and information available at sites such as https://twin.com/en-ca/bets/auto/1970324836974946-nascar.

The new NASCAR season will see races held all around the US. Individual states have different gambling laws so you need to check those to find out if you can legally place a bet. That’s important and not just because you don’t want to fall foul of the law.

Unlicensed sites do not offer the same level of protection to their customers as those who are licensed and regulated. There are offshore sites that can be used by Florida residents but these have their own licenses from other countries.

How about Florida where the Daytona 500 will be held on February 18. It’s been an important past 12 months for sports betting in the state.

There was opposition but October of last year saw the US Supreme Court make a ruling that ensured that the state’s Seminole Tribe can offer sports betting to their customers as long as they are aged 21 or over, have the required ID and place their bets within state borders.

The latter of those requirements is important and a GEO tracker will do its best to ensure those outside the state don’t use the services.

2023 ended with retail sportsbooks opening in the state and the Hard Rock app being relaunched to offer sports betting. Both online and in-person betting is now possible and that’s going to see great business for major sporting events.

It’s still a different situation than that seen in many other US states. The Seminole Tribe have control of gaming rights in the state. Other states see major gambling companies such as DraftKings, Caesars and BetMGM offering sports betting.

It’s going to be an exciting 2024 NASCAR season with plenty of thrills and spills. You can certainly bet on that!
