VIDEO: NASCAR to make preliminary activities free to the public on Feb. 3 at LA Memorial Coliseum

NASCAR’s Senior Vice President of Racing Development and Strategy, Ben Kennedy, surprised fans by announcing on social media the free opening of the LA Memorial Coliseum gates on Feb. 3. Initially not part of the plan, NASCAR reconsidered after fan feedback.

This decision provides fans with the opportunity to witness preliminary practices, qualifying, and heat races shaping the stage for the historic NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Mexico Series doubleheader on Feb. 4 at the Coliseum.

The doubleheader kicks off with the NASCAR Mexico Series’ King Taco La Batalla en El Coliseo at 1:30 p.m., concluding with the third annual Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum at 5 p.m. Featuring performances by MGK and Dillon Francis, the event marks the beginning of NASCAR’s season on a temporary quarter-mile asphalt track within the iconic LA Memorial Coliseum. Fans are urged to secure tickets early at www.nascarclash.com while supplies last.
