EuroNASCAR shines at the Autosport International Show

EuroNASCAR was one of the highlights of the 2024 Autosport International Edition at NEC Birmingham, UK. Over the span of four days drivers, motorsport professionals and thousands of fans had the chance to take a deeper look at the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series – the official NASCAR series in Europe – and the EuroNASCAR car with its Pure Racing character.

The 2024 EuroNASCAR season was presented three times on the Autosport International Show main stage, where NWES President and CEO Jerome Galpin, MSV Racing Group Motorsport Event Manager David Willey, 2023 Rookie Trophy winner Jack Davidson and NWES Chief Media Officer Gian Luca Guiglia talked about what makes the series so unique and the spectacle brought to the UK by the American SpeedFest at Brands Hatch.

“It was a pleasure for us to be featured at the Autosport International Show, it was definitely a busy weekend,” said NWES President and CEO Galpin. “It’s amazing to be able to get so many passionate fans in direct contact with the series and its protagonists. Our events and our car always gather a lot of interest and every time more people, both among the professionals and the fans, take advantage of opportunities like the AS24 to get a deeper knowledge of the series. We are sure many of them will take the opportunity to join us at the track to be part of our unique events and enjoy the best racing show in Europe.”

With Galpin sharing driving duties with Davidson, the #16 Ford Mustang delighted thousands of fans in the Live Action Arena with its roaring V8 engine, performing slides and doing donuts wrapped in a cloud of tire smoke.

Davidson also used the Autosport International Show to announce the debut of his own EuroNASCAR team. Lux Motorsport will field the #21 Chevrolet Camaro starting with the April 13-14 season opener at Spain’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo with Davidson behind the wheel in EuroNASCAR 2 and the ongoing support of GT Omega.

The Lux Motorsport Camaro was a fan favourite in Hall 3 at the NEC, where many new fans had the chance to sit in the EuroNASCAR car and get a glimpse of what the drivers feel while racing flat out at the best European tracks in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.

The 2024 EuroNASCAR season will kick off in Valencia, Spain on April 13-14 with four exciting races. The official European NASCAR series will return to the UK on June 8-9 to celebrate the eleventh edition of the hugely popular Brands Hatch American SpeedFest. All races will be streamed live for free on the EuroNASCAR YouTube channel.
