K&N Pro Series East Set to Return to Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway for the Visit Hampton VA 150

Get set race fans, the much anticipated, “The Visit Hampton VA 150”, weekend of racing is here as the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East is set to battle on the flat banks at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway. The speedway, along with the City of Hampton Virginia, is proud to host the series under the lights in what is sure to be a competitive race as championship points are all on the line. Harrison Burton (son of Jeff Burton) comes to with four wins and a narrow four point lead over rival competitor Todd Gilliland.

Gilliland (son of David Gilliland) sports three wins in the series of his own will look to continue to chip away at Burton’s points lead as there is only three race events left on the K&N East race schedule for 2017. Without question, the Visit Hampton VA 150 is one race that any fan is not going to want to miss.

Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway is also excited to have back the Rev Racing Drive for Diversity race team. Driver Collin Cabre, who is in his third season with D4D, will once again be competing along with his younger brother, Chase Cabre, who is in his first season. Also racing in this weekend’s event for the D4D race team is Jay Beasley and Ruben Garcia Jr who will be making his first ever start at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway. Rev Racing has helped launched the careers of Kyle Larson, Darrell Wallace Jr., and most recently Daniel Suarez.

Track owner Bill Mullis couldn’t be more pleased for the return of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East to Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway. “The biggest thing we do here is the K&N East race. It’s the top tier of what NASCAR and Langley can do together,” said Mullis.

“I think it’s great that Langley can be displayed on a national level by having this race broadcasted on September 7th at 7pm on NBCSN. That puts Langley Speedway and the City of Hampton back on the map. I’m more excited as a race fan then I am as a track owner. I can’t wait to see the race.”

Adding to the excitement in this weekend’s Visit Hampton VA 150 is a local competitor at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway, Late Model driver Justin Carroll. Last time out in the 2015 running of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race, Carroll had a strong showing finishing seventh. This year, Carroll is setting his sight on winning.

“I’m really excited, I’m looking forward to it, I had a pretty bad year as far as Late Model stuff goes”, stated Carroll. “We felt we had turned things around a bit after the run of The Hampton Heat 200. So I’m just really looking forward to Precision Performance Motorsports setting up the car. They completely put the whole car together. So I’m really looking forward what we can do at Langley in the K&N car.” Carroll also believes the race itself will be very competitive.

“There’s going to be some good side by side racing, you can run on the outside, make passes on the outside but you just got to watch your tires and not burn them up. I think there’s going to be some good racing especially for some of the drivers who have not raced at Langley before. Hopefully, I’ll have the upper hand on them with the experience but will see.”

It’s going to be a thriller at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway when the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East takes to the track.
