JJ Yeley and the No. 14 TriStar Motorsports team are ready to tackle the track known as “Too Tough to Tame” in the Sports Clips Haircuts VFW 200 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Race. Darlington Raceway serves as the venue for the 147 lap event scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Having seven previous NXS starts at the 1.366-mile speedway, Yeley has completed 888 laps and scored one Top-10 finish. He finished 14th last year in the TriStar Motorsports No. 44 Toyota.
Yeley has affectionately nicknamed the No. 14 “Black Betty” during the weekends when the car is solid flat black with minimal detailing. This weekend, “Black Betty” will sport fresh attire to distinguish herself while tangoing with the “Lady in Black”. Yeley and TriStar Motorsports will pay homage to the No. 14 of the legendary A J Foyt.by featuring orange and gold accents to enhance the standard flat black scheme.
Yeley and the No. 14 TriStar Motorsports team have steadily built momentum each weekend by securing creditable finishes. They are utilizing that momentum and head to Darlington with anticipation of gaining another a solid finish.
