Harrison Burton and the No. 21 DEX Imaging Mustang Dark Horse are set to start 13th in Sunday’s Food City 500 on the concrete at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Burton took that spot with a lap at 124.979 miles per hour during qualifying Saturday afternoon. It’s his best Bristol start in a Cup car.
In the practice session prior to qualifying, Burton was fastest in Group B and 13th overall on the speed chart with best lap at 125.215 mph. It came on the fifth of the 31 laps he ran in the session.
Sunday’s 500-lap race is set to get the green flag just after 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time, with TV coverage on FOX.
Stage breaks are planned for Laps 125 and 250.
