FOX NASCAR’s Joy and McReynolds to Give Command to Start Engines for Coke 600 with 24 Original FOX NASCAR Team Members

To mark FOX Sports’ final broadcast of the Coca-Cola 600 today at Charlotte Motor Speedway, longtime FOX NASCAR broadcasters Mike Joy and Larry McReynolds will give the command to start engines with 24 original FOX NASCAR team members.

Joy and McReynolds are original members of the 2001 FOX NASCAR broadcast team, and they will be joined by two dozen colleagues who also have been part of FOX’s coverage every year since its first NASCAR Cup Series broadcast – the 2001 Daytona 500.

“Larry (McReynolds) and I share this honor with FOX Sports colleagues who’ve also been here since 2001,” said Joy, FOX NASCAR play-by-play announcer. “Thanks to the Smith family, Greg Walter and his staff, and all who make this great race so special and so meaningful.”

This evening’s broadcast of the iconic Coca-Cola 600 marks FOX’s 24th consecutive.

“I am so flattered and so honored to be asked to do this with my teammate for all 24 Coca-Cola 600s on FOX,” said McReynolds, FOX NASCAR race analyst. “This will indeed be very special.”

FOX NASCAR coverage of the Coca-Cola 600 begins at 6:00 PM ET on FOX, preceded by NASCAR RACEDAY prerace coverage at 4:30 PM ET on FS1 before the show moves to FOX at 5:30 PM ET.
