Jake Finch Leads General Tire 200 Wire-to-Wire at Talladega

The ARCA Menards Series invaded the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway Saturday for its annual General Tire 200 event. No qualifying for this one as 2023 owner points set the lineup – giving Jake Finch the pole.

The rest of the top five starters included Tanner Gray, Andres Perez, Toni Breidinger, and Kris Wright.

Finch started the day looking to secure his first career ARCA Menards Series victory piloting the No. 20 Phoenix Toyota with Venturini Motorsports. In his earlier Superspeedway start at Daytona in February, Finch finished 11th because of a crash.

The Lynn Haven, FL native led all 76 laps to score the win Saturday. It also marks the third top-five and eighth top-10 for the driver in 11 starts.

Kris Wright finished second followed by Tanner Gray, Gus Dean, and Christian Rose.

Those finishing top 10 included Sean Corr, Amber Balcaen, Andres Perez, Frankie Muniz, and Toni Breidinger.

Andy Jankowiak, Jeff Scofield, and Jason Kitzmiller all fell out of the race due to mechanical issues with their cars – despite only one yellow for the halfway competition caution at lap 39.

The series heads next to Dover for the General Tire 150 combination event with the ARCA Menards Series East on April 26th. Coverage of that race will air live on FOX Sports 1 and MRN Radio at 5:00 p.m. ET.
