Joe Nemechek, driving the No. 15 Meding’s Seafood / Stockley Tavern Chevrolet Camaro for team JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, came home in 31st place in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race at Dover (De.) International Raceway.
Nemechek started the OneMain Financial 200 in 39th place, but quickly worked his way up into the top-25. Unfortunately, he had to visit the garage for the team to fix an issue before mid-race.
“This was a tough weekend for the No. 15 team,” Nemechek said. “I had a great car and was running some great laps, but we had to visit the garage and that put us behind. I’m very thankful to Meding’s Seafood and Stockley Tavern for all of their support this weekend. Johnny Davis (team owner) and I had a great time visiting Meding’s on Thursday, and I’ll definitely be back there for some of their seafood specials.”
The NASCAR Xfinity Series will take a two week break before the next race, the Alsco 300 at Charlotte (Nc.) Motor Speedway on May 26th, 2018.
