Kentucky Speedway is familiar territory to Ross Chastain.
Chastain has raced in seven events at the 1.5-mile track – four in the Xfinity Series and three in the Camping World Truck Series. He has a best finish of 10th – in an Xfinity car – in 2014.
Chastain will record start No. 8 at Kentucky Saturday in the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 Xfinity race.
“Kentucky is a track where I feel at home,” Chastain said. “I’ve been there enough times to have a good perspective on what it takes to get around the place fast. We’ve had decent runs there. I’m looking forward to taking another shot at it.”
Chastain finished 22nd in the July Xfinity race at the track.
Saturday’s race will be the first in the new Xfinity Chase playoffs.
