EVENT NOTES
Corey Heim will pilot the No. 26 Toyota Genuine Parts GR Supra on Saturday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway, marking his first career NXS start at the 1.5-mile track in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Andy's Frozen Custard 300 will be Heim's fifth start behind the wheel of the No. 26 GR Supra teaming up with Sam Hunt Racing in 2024.
Heim has two NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series starts at the track scoring two top-10 finishes and two top-five qualifying efforts.
Heim showed great speed at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is the most recent 1.5-mile track that the NXS has visited, so he is looking to bring that momentum into Fort Worth, Texas.
QUOTES
“The Sam Hunt Racing team has been consistently bringing fast cars to the track each week, and I hope we can capitalize on that this weekend at Texas. Every week we’ve had a Top-10 to a Top-5 car, but luck hasn’t fallen our way. Running double-duty this weekend so it’ll be good to have those laps going into the Xfinity race on Saturday. I’ve had good races at Texas, so I’m excited to see what we can bring to the table.”
