Kwasniewski Finishes 14th at Texas

Dylan Kwasniewski drove the Rockstar Energy Chevrolet to a 14th-place finish in the first NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race of the season at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night. Starting in the 10th position, Kwasniewski battled a loose racecar and found himself in the 15th position when the first caution of the night came out on lap 42. During the caution, crew chief Pat Tryson called Kwasniewski down pit road for four tires, fuel and an air-pressure adjustment. After the pit stop, Kwasniewski reported to his team that his Rockstar Energy Chevy felt much better and the Las Vegas, Nev. native worked his way up to as high as eighth during the second long green-flag run. Kwasniewski was scored in the 13th position when green-flag pit stops took place on lap 102. Kwasniewski again came down pit road for a round of adjustments to help tighten up the Rockstar Energy Chevy. Once pit stops cycled through, the Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender was scored in the 14th position. Kwasniewski continued to battle within the top 12 for the remaining portion of the race, ultimately bringing the Rockstar Energy Chevrolet home in the 14th position.

Dylan Kwasniewski on Racing at Texas Motor Speedway

Texas is a really fun race track to drive, and you really feel like you are carrying a lot of speed around the entire track. We battled a loose racecar to start the race, and we were really working on keeping up with the track, as it was constantly changing throughout the whole night. My guys worked hard all weekend to prepare me a great Rockstar Energy Drink Chevy. We were just a little off tonight, but I think we learned a lot that we can bring back with us in November.
