Kyle Larson NNS Preview: Darlington Raceway

Lady in Black…The NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) heads to Darlington Raceway for the series’ only dance with the ‘Lady in Black’ in 2013. Larson has never raced at the 1.336-mile egg-shaped oval, but he participated in a test day last month at the historic facility.

This Week’s Camaro…This weekend, the No. 32 team will unload chassis TSM-331 at Darlington Raceway. TSM-331 last took to the track at Auto Club Speedway in California in March. Larson took the green flag from the ninth position before scoring a sixth-place finish in the event.

Flying High…Cessna will be once again serve as primary sponsor for the No. 32 Chevy Camaro this weekend in Darlington Raceway. Cessna, the world’s leading general aviation company, has designed, produced and delivered more than 193,500 airplanes around the globe. This includes more than 6,300 Citation business jets, making it the largest fleet of business jets in the world.

Previous Race Recap…A rain-delayed, incident-filled race at Talladega Superspeedway resulted in a disappointing finish for Larson. After a blown tire put the No. 32 Cessna Chevrolet in the garage for a majority of the race, an 11-car pileup late in the event brought the Turner Scott Motorsports team’s night to an end, relegating Larson to a 38th-place finish.

Watch and Listen…The VFW Sport Clips Help A Hero 200 can be seen live on Friday, May 10 on ESPN2.  Race coverage will begin at 7:00 p.m. EDT. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

Kyle Larson on Darlington Raceway:

“I’m really looking forward to getting to Darlington and putting last week’s race behind me. We tested there a few weeks ago and it seemed to go well. It was good to get some laps at a tough track like Darlington. I got my first Darlington stripe, so maybe I’ll be lucky and have that part out of the way.”
