Kressley, Whitmore and Snyder Lead NASCAR Point Standings at Grandview Speedway

The NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modified title at Grandview Speedway has been shared by just three drivers since 1999 when Terry Meitzler took the championship. Since then the title has been bounced around by current champion Craig VonDohren, Jeff Strunk and Duane Howard. Now there seems to be some new talent shooting for the lucrative top spot.

Young Brett Kressley currently sits on top of the point standings with 865 counters. He has already won two features in early season action. Kressley has won the Sportsman title at Grandview but if he can hold on to the top spot it will be his first T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified championship. However Mike Gular, a veteran of the circuit, is just 28 points behind as a result of consistent top finishes. And in third is Hall of Famer Frank Cozze with 827 counters. VonDohren, Strunk and Howard hold the fourth through sixth spots in the early season standings. The Modified division has already had 41 drivers earn points during the first three NASCAR events of the season.

Craig Whitmoyer, always a consistent performer, is on top in the Sportsman division with 701 points while Brad Grim, an early season feature winner, is just four points behind with 697.

Danny Snyder, away from racing at Grandview for a few years, has a feature win to his credit and 577 points to lead the standings in the Late Model division. Wayne Pfeil, a winner last Saturday, has 523 points while veteran campaigner Lou Egrie holds on to third with 513 tallies.

All three divisions will be back in action on Saturday, June 9th, as K&N Filters Night is presented with action getting the green flag at 7:30 p.m.
