USAC East Coast Sprints Join NASCAR Modified and Sportsman This Saturday at Grandview Speedway, Kubota High Limit Racing 410 Sprints Arrive May 28

The second weekend of May will see two days of racing action at Grandview Speedway on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The weekend activity begins on Friday, May 10, and will feature the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Cars in action along with the Slingshots starting at 7 pm. Pit gates open at 2 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 6 pm. Grandstand admission will be $10, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Pit admission is $30 for the Friday event.

Next up on the schedule will be a big triple division race program featuring the only visit of the season from the Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Wingless Sprint Cars on Saturday, May 11. Grandview will present the regular T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman program along with the USAC East Sprinters making for a huge night of competition.

The show will include qualifying events for all classes leading up to a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and 25-lap features for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman and USAC East Coast Sprints.

Pit gates will open at 3:30 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 4:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 5:30 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 6:30 pm.

Grandview Speedway management is reminding everyone of a switch to a 6:30 pm start time this week. Management will continue to monitor the situation as far as weather and track conditions are concerned, to see how long this time schedule will be in effect.  Be sure to stay connected to the Grandview Speedway Facebook page or website at www.grandviewspeedway.com for up to date information on the starting times.

Adult grandstand admission is $25, students 10-15 with ID are $15, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprints presented by Capitol Renegade will be looking to present their sixth program all-time at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, May 11. Last season three-time series Champion Steven Drevicki scored the win over Briggs Danner, Ed Aiken, Tommy Kunsman and Joey Amantea in a very competitive feature event.

The first Grandview visit by the club was in 2019 with current NASCAR Modified driver Tim Buckwalter scoring the win. The 2020 edition was nixed by the cancellation of the first part of the race schedule that season by the COVID shutdown, followed by a Briggs Danner win in the 2021 race, and a rain out of the 2022 event.

The Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Sprints have recorded two races so far this season, with Briggs Danner and Joey Amantea picking up the feature wins, and Amantea leading the way in the early season point parade heading onto this Saturday’s program.

The Memorial Day Holiday weekend will be a special one at Grandview Speedway with a Saturday NASCAR event followed by a special Thunder on the Hill Series race following the Memorial Day holiday on Tuesday, May 28.

The final race for the month of May is the first Thunder on the Hill Racing Series program of the year featuring the Kyle Larson/Brad Sweet Kubota High Limit Racing 410 Sprint Cars on Tuesday, May 28 starting at 7:30 pm with a rain date of Wednesday, May 29.

The program will feature some of the top 410 Sprint Car drivers in the country battling it out against the top Pennsylvania drivers in this high profile racing event on the high-banked one-third-of-a-mile raceway.

The 410 Sprint drivers will participate in time trials and qualifying races leading into the 35-lap $20,000 to win feature race. Rico Abreu was the winner in the first Kubota High Limit Racing appearance last season, after a great battle with Kyle Larson for the victory.

Adult grandstand tickets are $40, children 6-11 are $20, while kids 5 and under are free. Pit admission is $45, and no license is required. Advanced grandstand tickets for this event are available at www.tickethoss.com.

Vintage Modified and Sportsman cars will also join the racing program participating in a 15-lap feature event only.
