Danica Patrick Unveils Signature Food Dish, Special Race Ticket Package

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Danica Patrick visited Daytona International Speedway on Wednesday to participate in Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola Media Day. Instead of turning laps around the historic 2.5-mile tri-oval in her No. 10 Nature’s Bakery Chevrolet SS for Stewart-Haas Racing, Patrick shared one of her other interests – cooking.

Patrick held court just outside the Chevrolet Injector in the FPL Solar Pavilion where she gave media members a special preview of a signature dish that will be available for race fans during the Coke Zero 400 Weekend: her Coke & Lime Cilantro Shrimp Wrap. The wrap is a perfect fit for Patrick’s health-conscious personal cookbook; it’s made with a garlic herb tortilla, Coke-marinated grilled and chilled white shrimp, shaved romaine hearts, cilantro and cabbage slaw and mango papaya relish.

In addition, Patrick and International Speedway Corporation Chief Operating Officer Joie Chitwood III announced “Danica’s Coke Zero 400 Family Pack” ticket package starting at $125 and only available by calling 1-800-PITSHOP. The package includes the following:

  • A Coke Zero 400 adult reserved stadium seat and one kids reserved stadium seat (ages 12 and under)
  • Admission to a question-and-answer session with Patrick in a Midway suite prior to the race
  • $10 in “DAYTONA Dollars” for Danica’s Coke & Lime Cilantro Shrimp Wrap & a Coca-Cola product (Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite or Aquafina)

Patrick, who captured the pole for the 2013 DAYTONA 500, is looking forward to a second 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series visit to the “World Center of Racing” for the upcoming Coke Zero 400. She has made three previous starts in the annual summer stock car classic with a best finish of eighth in 2014.
