Will Chase from ABC’s Hit Television Show “Nashville” to perform the National Anthem at the Oral-B USA 500 at Atlanta

Actor and singer Will Chase from the ABC hit television program “Nashville” will sing the National Anthem for the Oral-B USA 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Aug. 31.

“Many of our fans will recognize Will from his television role on ‘Nashville’,” said Atlanta Motor Speedway President Ed Clark. “He is a talented actor and singer and we are thrilled to have him join us for the biggest Labor Day party in the USA.”

Chase portrays the country superstar Luke Wheeler on the program which begins its third season Sept. 24 (10 – 11 p.m. ET) on ABC.  Chase’s character is the love interest of Rayna Jaymes, a role played by lead actress Connie Britton.  A cliffhanger has left Chase’s and Britton’s characters as the focal point of a “Nashville” love triangle.

Chase’s illustrious career began on Broadway where he garnered a Tony Nomination for his Featured Role in “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” starred in “Nice Work if You Can Get It,” “High Fidelity,” as well as “Rent,” “Miss Saigon,” and “Aida.” In addition to his role on Nashville, Chase has also starred in NBC’s first season of “Smash.”

Fans will also have an opportunity to interact with Chase on race day at Atlanta Motor Speedway.  The actor will make an appearance and will take part in a short question and answer session in the Fan Zone on Sunday.
