ARCA: Gallagher Captures First Ever Series Win at Kansas

Spencer Gallagher captured the victory in the 98.9 The Rock at the Kansas Speedway for his first ever win in the series. It took the 24-year-old four years and 51 starts before it happened this evening. Gallagher started the race from the 32nd spot after qualifying was washed out.

Josh Williams came home with a runner-up finish after slithering his way around wrecked racecars all night. Williams started the evening from the 19th-position in his No. 6 Southwest Florida Cable Construction Chevrolet. It was the first time of the year that he has finished a race inside the top-five.

Ross Kenseth, who made his second career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start tonight, came home with a third-place finish. Kenseth, driving the No. 3 PitStopsForPoverty.com Chevrolet, started the night from 11th. His 2015 ARCA Racing plans are still undecided.

Mason Mitchell secured the 2014 ARCA Racing Series championship after taking the green flag. Mitchell came into the weekend with a 200 point lead over Grant Enfinger who had an issue late into the race after blowing a tire. Mitchell didn’t get a clean night either as throttle got them behind at the beginning.
