ARCA: Enfinger Wins Pole at Talladega

Grant Enfinger captured the pole on Friday afternoon with a fast time of 52.143 seconds, 183.649 mph. Tomorrow morning will be his best start of the season so far, which his previous best is second at Daytona and Salem last weekend. Enfinger heads into Talladega hoping to score his fourth win of the 2014 season after three races complete.

Starting in the second position will be Mason Mitchell after qualifying with a time of 52.200 seconds, 183.445 mph. Mitchell will make his fourth start this year inside the top-10 and hopes to gather his fourth top-five finish of the year. He was just 0.057 seconds off of Enfinger’s fastest lap.

Third fastest of the session was Justin Boston after posting his fast time at a 52.352 seconds, 182.916 mph. Boston was one of the favorites heading to the qualifying session as he won the pole in the last two events but was 0.209 seconds short of that. He hopes to finish his second race of the season as the first two events was all did not finishes. Boston also hopes to get a solid finish as his best this season has been a 15th, which came last weekend at Salem.

Other notables include, fifth John Wes Townley, seventh Tom Hessert, Austin Wayne Self 10th, Gerhart 15th and 22nd Frank Kimmel. One car did not turn a lap in their group as that was Mark Meunier.
