NCWTS: N.C. Education Lottery 200 Preview

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is no longer in Kansas as they travel to the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the 13th Annual North Carolina Education Lottery 200. The series will make their fifth appearance of the 2015 NASCAR racing season. Kyle Busch, who is not entered to race on Friday night, comes into the weekend as the defending race winner.

The entry list features 35 different drivers as three of those will be going home after qualifying on Friday. Some of the names on the entry list include Kasey Kahne, Kyle Fowler, Joe Nemechek, Ryan Ellis, Brad Keselowski, Scott Lagasse Jr., Matt Tifft and David Gilliland.

Kasey Kahne will return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for his sixth career start in the series. Kahne will pilot the No. 00 Haas Automation Chevrolet for JR Motorsports. The goal with Kahne behind the wheel is that Cole Custer can gain advice from a veteran driver. The Washington native holds four victories in five different starts.

NEMCO Motorsports has some momentum on their side as they come into the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday. The racing team, with Sprint Cup Series driver Ryan Newman behind the wheel, captured their first top five finish of the year in the No. 8 Chevrolet last weekend at the Kansas Speedway. This will be one of the last races for Nemechek behind the wheel before his son John Hunter Nemechek takes over full control. The racing team announced a new associate sponsorship earlier this week with FoneFuel.

Erik Jones comes into the Charlotte Motor Speedway looking to capture his first career victory of the 2015 Camping World Truck Series season. Jones ran out of fuel with six laps remaining last weekend at the Kansas Speedway after leading 151 laps. Jones comes into the weekend tying his four-race winless drought. His last win came last season at the Phoenix International Raceway.

Fans can follow live coverage of the N.C. Education Lottery 200 on Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET. on FOX Sports 1. The Motor Racing Network will carry the live radio broadcast. Fans with certain television providers can watch the race on FOX Sports Go.
