NCWTS: Matt Crafton Captures Rhino Linings 350K Pole

Matt Crafton captured the pole at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a time and speed of 30.613 seconds, 176.396 mph. in the final round of knockout qualifying. Crafton will start on the pole in a Camping World Truck Series race for the ninth time of his racing career. Crafton continues to show his dominance as he ended the morning practice and the first round of qualifying as the fastest driver.

John Wes Townley will start beside Crafton with a time and speed of 30.724 seconds, 175.758 mph. in the final round of single-truck qualifying. Townley enters the weekend looking to capture his second top five and seventh top 10 finish this season in the 2015 Camping World Truck Series season.

Brandon Jones will round out the top three in the No. 33 RSD Chevrolet. Jones posted a time of 30.738 seconds, 175.678 mph. in his single lap of qualifying in the final round. The 18-year old driver will make his 20th career Camping World Truck Series start on Saturday. Jones comes into the 1.5-mile oval with two top five and four top 10 finishes in 2015.

Erik Jones will start the race in the 15th starting position. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series point’s leader did not make the second round of knockout qualifying. Jones comes into the race sitting seven points ahead of Crafton. The No. 4 Toyota will have to start at the rear for an engine change.

There were no issues throughout the two rounds of knockout qualifying. No drivers went home as 32 trucks showed up.
