NASCAR Nationwide Series Pink Special Paint - Speedway Digest

Several drivers in tonight’s NASCAR Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 will help Charlotte Motor Speedway and Dollar General in their support for finding a cure for breast cancer by sporting pink car schemes. Among those supporting the “Pink Out” are the No. 11 of Brian Scott and the No. 18 of Denny Hamlin with race sponsor Dollar General’s pink cars. Also racing a pink car are No. 31 of Justin Allgaier, the No. 14 of Eric McClure and the No. 7 of Danica Patrick.

Drivers using pink as a car’s accent color include the No. 2 of Elliott Sadler, No. 88 of Cole Whitt, No. 00 of Angela Cope, No. 08 of Kyle Fowler, No. 15 of Stanton Barrett, No. 30 James Buescher, and No. 38 Brad Sweet.

Almost every car in the race tonight is sporting pink or the iconic pink ribbon on the race car. Also, Dollar General has many of its hospitality guests wearing the company’s pink-and-black logo.

Fans Will Notice “Pink Out” – Race fans attending the Dollar General 300 have been encouraged to wear pink tonight and will notice several pink additions to Charlotte Motor Speedway. Among those are a pink start/finish line and a pink Dollar General 300 logo in the quad-oval grass in front on the main grandstand. NASCAR Nationwide Series teams will also sport pink on the pit crew helmets and firesuits. There is even a pink trophy going to the race winner. There are also race fans attending today’s activities who are breast cancer survivors.

300 Survivors Parade – Tonight’s Dollar General 300 pre-race activities will include a breast cancer survivor’s parade. Participants who have signed up will meet in front of Smith Tower where they will receive a special T-shirt, flag and race ticket and walk down through the main grandstand and onto the race track. They will walk across the frontstretch and stay there through driver introductions. The survivors will then walk to a special section of the grandstand to watch the Dollar General 300.
