NXS: Kyle Busch Captures Pole at Kansas

Kyle Busch will start on the pole at Kansas Speedway for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 with a lap of 29.654, 182.100 mph. Busch, who captured his 56th career XFINITY Series pole, will look to snatch his ninth victory of the season. The Las Vegas native will look to grab his 85th career XFINITY Series win.

Erik Jones, a teammate of Kyle Busch, will start right beside him in the runner-up spot. Jones posted a 29.703, 181.800 mph. when the final round came to a close. The Michigan native sat second in round one and led round two of qualifying.

Rounding out the top three starters will be Kyle Larson in his No. 42 Chevrolet. Larson posted a 29.837, 180.983 mph. in the final round of qualifying. The California native ended round one in fourth and the second round of qualifying in third.

Chase drivers and potential favorites Daniel Suarez and Justin Allgaier will start together in fourth and fifth. Elliott Sadler and Blake Koch will roll off eighth and ninth. Darrell Wallace Jr., Brendan Gaughan and Ryan Reed will start 15th, 18th and 22nd.
