Anticipation Rises as Blake Koch Readies For Daytona

Blake Koch at Daytona International Speedway… Making his debut with newly established NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) team Kaulig Racing™, Blake Koch, driver of the No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection™ Chevrolet Camaro will make his eighth start at Daytona (Fl.) International Speedway. With a track-best starting position of 11th (February, 2014), the West Palm Beach, Fla. native has recorded four top-20 finishes on the high banks in seven NXS starts, including a track-best 17th-place finish (February, 2012).   

 

Sounding Off- Blake Koch… “I can’t wait to get back to Daytona. Everything this year is new for me including my car number, my team and manufacturer. It will take some adapting but I’m ready to get back on the racetrack and get back to business. Daytona is basically my home track, so I’m excited to get to see my family and friends, and most importantly everyone from LeafFilter that is coming to support us.”
 
Chassis Chatter… Kaulig Racing™ will debut chassis No. 001 from it’s stable of RCR chassis for Saturday’s Powershares QQQ 300 at Daytona International Speedway.
 
Experience on the Box… Chris Rice, crew chief for Blake Koch and the No. 11 Kaulig Racing team, has 220 career NXS starts to his resume since 1999. Rice has called the shots for 15 NXS races at Daytona International Speedway, and his success includes an eighth-place starting spot, and a third-place finish in 2013 with Alex Bowman.
 
Blake Koch NXS Career… While the 30 year-old driver may be making his debut with Kaulig Racing™ for the 2016 season, Koch is not a stranger to the NXS. Making 147 career starts, Koch has a career-best starting position of second and a career-best finish of 11th, both at Homestead-Miami Speedway (Nov., 2013).

 

Tune-In… The Powershares QQQ 300 will be televised live Saturday, Feb. 20, at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1 and will be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio channel 90.
