Florida Lottery Joins Cassill In Homestead

JD Motorsports with Gary Keller hopes to give the Florida Lottery a “jackpot” weekend as the lottery joins Landon Cassill for the final race of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

The colors of the Florida Lottery will adorn Cassill’s No. 01 Chevrolet Camaro for Saturday’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla.

The 26-year-old Cassill will look to finish out his third year running for JD Motorsports with the Florida Lottery Chevy in the front of the field for Saturday’s 300-mile event.

The Florida Lottery has contributed more than $28 billion to the state’s public education in 27 years, offering seven terminal games and approximately 60 scratch-off games at more than 13,000 retailers statewide. The games have made more than 1,400 people millionaires with more than $46 billion in prize payouts since the first ticket was sold.

“This is a race that I look forward to every year, and I can’t wait to get on track with this great-looking Florida Lottery paint scheme,” Cassill said. “The Florida Lottery does great things for education while giving people tons of chances to win cash prizes. We’ll do our best to get them a great finish this weekend and end the 2015 Xfinity Series season on a winning note.”

Practice for Saturday’s race is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Saturday, with race to follow at 2:45 p.m.
