Jesse Love and the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet Team Fight for 13th-Place Finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
13th 15th 7th
“We fought hard today at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This was my first race here, so it took a little longer to get a feel for the car with practice being rained out. Danny Stockman (crew chief) and the No. 2 team did a great job with strategy to gain track position. We worked on the Whelen Chevrolet every chance we got. Towards the end we decided to stay out and picked up the lead, but on the restart, I spun the rear tires and lost some positions. To finish 13th in my first start at this track is a testament to my Richard Childress Racing team. We will rebound and head to Nashville next week.“ -Jesse Love
Austin Hill and the No. 21 Bennett Transportation & Logistics Chevrolet Showcase Speed Early at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
25th 13th 4th
“It was a battle today at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. At the start of the race with the wet tires on, it took three laps for our Bennett Transportation & Logistics Chevrolet to come in, but once it did, it had good turn and drive off. After starting 13th, I was able to drive all the way up to fourth under green conditions. Unfortunately, once we put the slicks back on, the car didn’t handle as well. If I tried to carry too much roll speed, it would four-wheel slide across the middle. I tried to move my line one lane down, but if I didn’t fully chop, I would have a big loose moment and it would continue to be loose throughout the corner. I felt like the track went through changes today as the rubber started to lay down. Towards the end, the guys made a wedge adjustment which allowed the front end to feel connected. Unfortunately, we had lost a lot of track position and was caught up in an accident shortly after. We fought until the end to get the best finish possible.”
