Chastain To Visit Carrollton High School

If there’s one thing Ross Chastain knows, it is the importance of safe driving, and he hopes to help the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety (KOHS) share this message.

Chastain will be paying a special visit to the students of Carroll County High School in Carrollton, Ky., Sept. 24th, from 10:00 a.m. to noon (ET) to help educate students about safe driving. The KOHS will have a Distracted Driving Simulator on site at the school, and Chastain will be helping to give demonstrations on the dangers of distracted driving.

“When most kids think about race car drivers, they picture the speed, the wrecks or someone driving out of control,” explains Chastain. “The truth, however, is that driving safely and free of distraction is just as important in a race car as it is on the streets and highways. I want to use my experiences and the KOHS’s D2 Simulator to help show these students how important safety is out on the roads.”

The KOHS is on board the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 4 and the No. 01 Chevrolet Camaros this weekend for Saturday’s VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 at Kentucky Speedway. Chastain’s No. 4 will be promoting seat belt usage with the “Protect Your Melon” paint scheme, while the No. 01 of Michael Self will be spreading the message of “U Drive. U Text. U Pay.”
