- Practice; After clearing NASCAR technical inspection on Friday afternoon, Jeb Burton would take to the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) for a scheduled 20-minute practice session. Burton would record a fast lap of 31.033 at 174.008 mph on Lap-2 of his 20-lap session putting the Puryear Tank Lines Chevrolet 10th of the 40 cars entered for the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) Bet MGM 300.
– Starting Position; At the conclusion of the 20-minute practice session, the No. 27 team would change tires and fill the car full of Sunoco race fuel before moving into qualifying for the Saturday’s Bet MGM 300. In 2024, Intermediate sized tracks will use a single-lap of qualifying to determine the starting lineup. Scheduled to record his qualifying lap 25th, Burton would put down a heater of a lap logging a 30.770 at 175.496 placing the No. 27 Puryear Tank Lines Chevrolet Camaro SS 5th quick. Burton will lineup inside Row 3 in the 5th position for the Bet MGM 300.
– Charlotte Motor Speedway Stats; Saturday afternoons NXS Bet MGM 300 will mark Burton’s eighth NXS start at CMS. In seven previous starts, Burton holds an average finish of 11.1 with a 99.6% lap completion rate completing 1401 laps of the possible 1406. Burton has three Top-10 finishes with a best of seventh coming in 2019 & 2023 after starting 16th and 9th respectively. Burton has finished in Top-20 in all of his seven starts at Charlotte.

- Practice; After being given the green light thru technical inspection from NASCAR officials on Friday afternoon, Parker Retzlaff would take to the CMS for a scheduled 20-minute practice session. Retzlaff would log a fast lap of 31.379 at 172.090 mph on Lap-1 of his 20-lap session placing the Wisconsin native 17th of the 40 cars entered for the NXS Bet MGM 300.
– Starting Position; Immediately after the conclusion of the 20-minute practice session, NXS teams would move into qualifying for the Saturday’s Bet MGM 300. In 2024, Intermediate sized tracks will use a single-lap of qualifying to determine the starting lineup. Scheduled to make his qualifying lap 20th, Retzlaff would pick up the pace from practice recording a lap of 31.016 at 174.104 placing the No. 31 FUNKAWAY Chevrolet Camaro SS 12th fast. Retzlaff will lineup outside Row 6 in the 12th position for the Bet MGM 300.
- Charlotte Motor Speedway Stats; The Bet MGM 300 at CMS will be Retzlaff’s return to CMS, a place where the young racer captured a sixth-place finish in his debut at the 1.5-mile oval last season (May 2023). After power steering issues in practice the No. 31would go to work to diagnose the issue and be forced to start in 37th starting position. When the green flag dropped Retzlaff would go to work moving past car after car on his way thru the field during the 200-lap affair to come home with Top-10 finish.
