EVENT NOTES

Dean Thompson will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway this Saturday afternoon in the No. 26 MCM Transportation GR Supra.


Sam Hunt Racing has four starts at the 1.5-mile oval track located in Concord, North Carolina with four different drivers.
Thompson marks the fifth driver to race on Charlotte Motor Speedway oval for Sam Hunt Racing.


Dean Thompson is a NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series regular, driving the No. 5 Tundra TRD Pro for TRICON Garage. He has 57 career NCTS starts that include two top-five and eight top-10 finishes.


Thompson's first career top-5 finish in the NCTS was awarded at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2023 behind the wheel of the No. 5 truck. 


Triple Duty: Thompson is expected to make 434 race laps around Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend, equating to 651 miles, as he will compete in the ARCA Menards Series for Venturini Motorsports, CRAFTSMAN Truck Series with TRICON Garage, and the Xfinity Series with Sam Hunt Racing.
