Mahoning Valley Speedway geared for two days of racing this Saturday and Sunday

This Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29, Mahoning Valley Speedway will be in action both those days for their first double-up weekend of the year.

On Saturday it’s a regular show featuring Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks.

Racing starts at 6:00 pm. Warm-ups will begin at 4:15. Early paid practice takes place 12:30 to 3:30.

Front gates will open at 4:00pm. Adult grandstand admission is $14, $2 off for students, seniors 65+ and active military. Children under 10 are free. Pit admission is $25 for members and $35 non-members.

On Sunday afternoon race number 2 of the Mahoning Valley Speedway/Evergreen Raceway Small Car Enduro Series takes place.

Nine races, alternating once a month per each track, make of the series. Each race awards $500 to win, with 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th receiving $300, $200, $150 and $100 respectively. Points will be tallied for each driver and the top five in the final standings will be awarded the same payout. In order to be eligible for the championship monies drivers must run a minimum of three races at each track.

Also on Sunday’s card will be the All-Star Slingshots and Jr. Slingshots plus the East Coast TQ Midgets.

Sunday race time is 1:30. Grandstand admission is $10. Pit admission is $25. Front gates open at 12:30. Pits open at 11:00. Warmups for Slingshots and TQs begin at 12:15. Enduro registration is $40 per car. Slingshot registration is $25 per car and $15 per Jr. Slingshot. Transponders are $6.
