The Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway Names New Banquet Sales Manager, Membership Coordinator

Texas Motor Speedway has named Kristin Laird as banquet sales manager and Kaitlyn Davis as membership coordinator for The Speedway Club at the world-class motorsports and entertainment facility in North Texas.

“We are very excited to have Kristin Laird as a dedicated resource for the Speedway Club and all the unique meeting and event space that it has to offer,” said Texas Motor Speedway Executive Vice President & General Manager Mark Faber. “Our goal is to create remarkable events that exceed expectations for our clients while providing outstanding customer service and that’s in Kristin’s DNA. I can’t wait to see the impact she will have on bringing new events to the Speedway Club while leaving a lasting impression for our clients.

Both she and Kristin have successful backgrounds in creating memorable events and I have every confidence their vision and enthusiasm will take The Speedway Club to new levels of achievement.”

Both new hires represent a significant commitment to The Speedway Club which includes 40,000-square-feet of event and meeting spaces, fine dining and a 12,000-square-foot fitness center and spa.

Kristin Laird – The Speedway Club Banquet Sales Manager

Laird will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients that host their events at The Speedway Club while sourcing and securing new business related to special events. The specific spaces in The Speedway Club building she will be responsible for include: the 5,000-square-foot indoor event space and 12,000-square-foot outdoor terrace above Turn 1 on the fourth floor; the multi-use meeting room space for groups of 10 to 200 on the seventh floor; the three-level Starlight Dining Room that can accommodate up to 300 guests on the eighth floor; and the 13,000-square-foot ballroom and banquet facilities on the ninth floor.

Laird spent the previous two years as manager of premium experiences for Professional Bull Riders, where she helped generate more than $3 million in premium sales revenue. During her tenure, she spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives such as the PBR Shark Cage for the Pendleton Whisky Velocity tour, Teams Tour, and Unleash the Beast, elevating fan engagement to new heights. Her visionary leadership also saw her create an RV Park Village for World Finals, setting the stage for immersive and unforgettable experiences.

Before that, Laird served as the General Manager/Event Director at Howell Family Farms for four years where she orchestrated the highly acclaimed Pumpkin Nights Festival which drew 80,000 attendees annually. Previous positions include director of sales at Petroleum Club of Fort Worth and Sales Manager at River Ranch Stockyards, where she consistently doubled sales, expanded client bases, and played a pivotal role in planning and coordinating iconic events such as a Lonesome Dove cast reunion and many other events.

Kaitlyn Davis – The Speedway Club Membership Coordinator

Davis’ duties will consist of building and maintain relationships with Speedway Club members while planning and executing member events throughout the year.

Davis comes to The Speedway Club from Arcis Golf’s Bear Creek Golf Club in Dallas where she served as private events manager and sales coordinator. She has additional experience as a marketing and events coordinator with Coyote Creek Golf Club in Morgan Hill, Calif. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in marketing from The University of Arizona.

“I’m excited to be the new membership coordinator for the Speedway Club,” said Davis. “I get the opportunity to rebuild the membership community after COVID and learn more about the individuals that support the Speedway Club.”
