Military Appreciation Night This Saturday at Greenville-Pickens Speedway

Twin 75-lap late model features plus four cylinders, renegades, super stocks and pure stocks will make for an entertaining end to the month of May on Military Appreciation Night at Greenville-Pickens Speedway this Saturday.

Men and women who have served or currently serve in any of the branches of the U.S. Military are encouraged to wear their uniform and show their military I.D. at the ticket office for free admission to the grandstand.

“We would like to give a little something back to those who have served and fought for our freedom,” said Track Promoter Anthony Anders. “We hope to look out into the grandstand and see a packed house full of service men and women so we can honor them and show them a great time Saturday night.”

14-year-old Chase Purdy has been to call double-aught Brian Ramey victory lane five times this season already in the late model division, but a whole host of racers are expected to be on hand trying to prevent him from winning his sixth.

Trey Gibson (3 wins), Defending late model champ David Roberts, Dylan Hall, Cody Haskins, Landon Huffman, Tommy Lemons, Jr., Rodney Howard and many more could be in the field vying for the $2000 first place check in each feature.

Competition has been keen in all divisions this year at the historic half-mile, so gather your family and a few close friends and join us for a special Memorial Day Weekend of “Saturday Night Thunder” this weekend!

Gates open at 4pm.  Race time is 7pm.
