DAYTONA Rising December Project Update: Daytona International Speedway Prepares for Final Month of Construction Activities

With nearly one month remaining until the completion of the $400 million DAYTONA Rising project, Daytona International Speedway (DIS) is now finalizing key construction activities in preparation for the first event in the new motorsports stadium – the 54th anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 30-31.

DIS recently completed installation of the trackside tower “WORLD CENTER OF RACING” signage. “Wrapping” of the new Toyota, Florida Hospital, Chevrolet and Sunoco injectors/entrances is also underway.

Later this month, DIS will hold a special ceremony to light its new massive identification sign. The “supersign” is located near the new center injector/entrance, welcoming race fans and guests to the motorsports stadium.

Additional upcoming construction activities include:

  • “Wrapping” of the “World Center of Racing” center injector
  • Final inspection of elevators/escalators
  • Completion of sports lighting testing
