SSO to Kick-Off Fourth of July week - Speedway Digest

The Cook Out Summer Shootout is grilling up an action-packed doubleheader of racing for the week of Fourth of July, with drivers having two chances to not get burned and advance to Victory Lane at America’s Home for Racing.

On Monday, dad will be in the spotlight on Dad Vibes Night, presented by Pro-FABrication. In an encore to Father’s Day, dad bods will be fully displayed, with plenty of dad jokes accompanying them. A few special dads will see who can make the cut in a lawn mower race. Dads can dust off their New Balances and dress in their finest dad attire for a Father Fashion Show on the Dad Vibes runway. Dads of three or more kids getting in free.

An explosive night will follow on Tuesday, for Red, White and Brews presented by Dilling Heating & Cooling. Sparks will fly on the track and in the sky as the next generation of drivers round out an awe-inspiring doubleheader at America’s Home for Racing. After the race, drivers will pull their Bandolero and Legends Cars onto the front stretch as fans are treated to an autograph session. To cap the night, Charlotte Motor Speedway will light the sky, showing off American pride with one of the Charlotte area’s largest fireworks displays. First responders and military personnel receive free admission with an ID.

Not only will the racing be served up, prizes will be dished out and astonishing entertainment will satisfy the whole family all week.

ABOUT COOK OUT SUMMER SHOOTOUT:

Cook Out Summer Shootout is a 10-race showcase of speed among eight different divisions of Legend Cars and Bandoleros. Races are held each Tuesday night, with drivers accumulating points throughout the summer towards a season-ending championship.

TICKETS:

On Monday, Dads with three or more kids get in FREE, while on Tuesday, First responders and military personnel receive free admission with an ID in recognition of their service. Tickets start at $10 on Monday and $15 on Tuesday; Kids 12 and under get in FREE.
