Grandview Speedway Hosts Modified & Sportsman Double This Saturday, Pa 410 Sprint Speedweek Tuesday, July 2, 1990’s $10 Admission Night on Saturday, July 6

The final event in an action packed month of June will feature a NASCAR Modified and Sportsman double-header this Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

The show on Saturday, June 29 will be a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman in a race program that will include qualifying events for both divisions leading up to a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The next Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event will follow on Tuesday, July 2 with a visit by the powerful 410 Sprint Cars of the Pennsylvania Posse in the 34th running of PA Sprint Car Speed Week. The Speed Week event at Grandview is titled the Hodnett Cup and salutes the late driver who is one of the all-time winningest 410 Sprint drivers in Grandview history.

The program will be sponsored by HVAC Distributors Partners for Success and pay the winner of the 35-lap main event a healthy $10,000! The Tuesday night show will also include the 358 NASCAR Modifieds, for another outstanding two-division race program.

Following this very popular event will be a special night of racing in which race fans will be able to take a trip down memory lane on Saturday, July 6, when Grandview Speedway presents 90’s night, which was a huge hit last season.

The highlight of the night will be the roll back of the grandstand admission to 1990’s pricing, as fans will pay just $10 for a complete night of NASCAR Modified and Sportsman competition. Fans are encouraged to wear 1990’s style clothes (if they still have them) or 1990’s era driver t-shirts for what surely will be an entertaining evening of fun, excitement, and great racing competition on the one-third-of-a-mile high-banked speedway.

This past Saturday night featured another classic Grandview battle in the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modified feature event with Louden Reimert scoring his third win of the season over Brett Kressley, moving both drivers further up the ladder in the top ten in the track’s championship point standings, with Reimert now ninth and Kressley sitting in eighth.

Jeff Strunk continues as the point leader despite not scoring a win yet this season, with a fantastic race running from 25th starting spot to score a fine fourth place effort. Craig Von Dohren sits second in points and Mike Gular ranks third after both drivers had to pit for tire changes following a brief tangle during the feature, which caused them to rally back and finish just outside the top ten in the feature, but both are still solidly in the top three spots in points.

Eddie Strada ranks fourth in points after missing out on a top ten feature finish after also making a mid-race pit stop, while Jared Umbenhauer scored a strong fifth place feature run to sit fifth in points entering this upcoming weekend.
