Easton Corbin To Be Featured Artist For Traditional Talladega Superspeedway Saturday Night Concert

Award-winning Mercury Nashville recording artist Easton Corbin will thrill Talladega Superspeedway fans with his unique style of country music as the headliner for the track’s traditional Saturday Night Infield Concert, Oct. 24, all part of an incredible weekend of racing that will include the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola and the Alabama 500.

Corbin will take the stage at NASCAR’s “Party Capital” just hours after the conclusion of the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, and the night before the Alabama 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event (Sunday, Oct. 25), the final race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Contender Round which will see the field of drivers reduced from 12 to eight at the checkered flag.

Corbin’s third album, About To Get Real, was released in June 2015 and has been compared to Alan Jackson, George Strait and the late Keith Whitley. He has been described by the American Songwriter magazine as having “one of those rare, glorious voices that was made — just made — for singing country music.”

“Race fans expect our Saturday night concerts in the infield to be just as exciting as the racing action on the track,” Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch said. “We certainly will accomplish that with Easton Corbin. It’s going to be a show that no one will want to miss.”

Corbin vaulted onto the country scene in 2009 with a self-titled debut album that produced two No. 1 singles, numerous awards and nominations, and blockbuster tours with some of country’s biggest current acts like Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton and Brad Paisley.

His singles “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It” both went to No. 1, making him the first country artist in 17 years to have their first two consecutive singles reach the top of the charts. The world’s premier music publication, Billboard, named Corbin its Top New Country Artist for 2010, and is continuing to build on that success ever since.

He followed up his debut album with a sophomore effort; All Over The Road, in late 2012 preceded by his latest album, About To Get Real, which was released earlier this summer. The singles from his current album that country fans may recognize include “Clockwork,” “Baby Be My Love Song,” and his most current hit “Yup.”

While at Talladega Superspeedway, Corbin will rock the rowdy infield crowd of the biggest and baddest race track on the planet well into the night at the intersection of Eastaboga and Talladega Boulevards. The best part about the concert is that admission is free with the purchase of a Sunday race ticket for the Alabama 500 (starting at 1:30 p.m. CDT).

Corbin’s performance will mark the second straight evening of fun activities in the infield. On Friday night, the track will host its fourth “Big One on The Blvd” extravaganza featuring NASCAR’s top drivers and loads of fan fun.
