Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas Raises $136,507 During Autotrader Echopark Automotive 400 NASCAR Weekend

Multiple events held by Speedway Children’s Charities – Texas Chapter in the week leading up to and during the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 NASCAR tripleheader weekend at Texas Motor Speedway raised 136,507 in donations for local children in need.

The featured SCC-Texas event was the annual Bill Walker Memorial Greens and Gears Golf Tournament presented by Premier Truck Group on Friday, April 12. Additional fundraising opportunities included multiple live auctions, sales from The Legacy Shop located on the speedway’s main concourse near Gate 5, and the 50/50 raffles all three days at speedway as well as Saturday night during the High Limit Racing sprint car event at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. The total jackpot for Sunday’s 50/50 raffle was $71,600.

“The electricity from fans was felt in every aspect of our race weekend, including in their willingness to give back,” said Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas Chapter Executive Director Marissa Chaney. “We are so grateful to everyone who had a hand in helping us exceed our fundraising goals”

Since 1997, Speedway Children’s Charities Texas Chapter has distributed more than $12 million in funding to non-profit organizations in Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties supporting children in need.
