Talladega Superspeedway’s Party Just Got Better

Talladega Superspeedway’s fun, party atmosphere increased in a big way today with the announcement that entertainers Logan Mize and Dee Jay Silver, along with 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year candidate Kyle Larson, will be a part of a lively crowd during the track’s infamous social events – the “Big One on the Blvd” Friday night Parade (Oct. 17) and Saturday night’s traditional Infield Concert (Oct. 18).

As part of the GEICO 500/fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola weekend, country-rocker Mize, a new voice from the heartland, will kick off the always entertaining Saturday Night Infield Concert, which will also feature headliner Thomas Rhett. Silver, a top-touring DJ/Remixer/Producer, will join Mize and Rhett Saturday, too, but will also thrill the crowd with a vast variety of party music during and after the “Big One on the Blvd” activities Friday evening. Larson, the 22-year-old who leads the Rookie battle this season with seven top-five finishes, joins Clint Bowyer, Kevin Harvick, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., and Austin Dillon for the “Big One,” a new tradition at NASCAR’s Most Competitive track.

“What a trio to add to an already exciting stellar lineup,” said track Chairman Grant Lynch. “All three are incredible, young talents who in their various entertaining capacities are making huge waves right now. Logan’s raw candor and gritty passion on stage will fit in perfect with the atmosphere in our infield and have our fans singing along to his newest songs. Dee Jay Silver brings a new kind of music style and party swagger to Talladega while Kyle, proving to be a true talent in our sport, has already experienced Talladega Blvd during the race weekend. We are glad to have him officially be a part of the Big One.”

The Saturday Night Concert has become a popular event at Talladega Superspeedway with top music acts playing on stage next to the rowdy and famous Talladega Blvd. and, all it takes to be a part of the evening – which now features Mize, Rhett and Silver – is a Sunday GEICO 500 ticket!

Mize has opened for multiple headlining acts including Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Leann Rimes, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band, and Blake Shelton, as well as country legends Hank Williams and Merle Haggard.

Over the past few years Mize, a Kansas-native, has found himself not only to be a heartland country-rocker, but behind the camera in a couple of high profile turns on the small screen.

He ended up in a widely viewed “Fabric Of Our Life” cotton commercial with Hayden Panettiere of ABC-TV’s lauded Nashville, but more recently Mize played himself and sang, along with his band, in a recent episode of The CW’s hit drama Hart of Dixie starring Rachel Bilson. Rhett will be hitting the stage after Mize and giving race fans a taste of his boundary- pushing music, playing his #1 hit songs like “Get Me Some of That” and “It Goes Like This”. Find out more about Rhett at www.thomasrhett.com.
