World renowned Blue Angels to perform flyover at Auto Club 400

The world renowned pride of the Navy and Marine Corps, United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, will perform a flyover prior to the start of the Auto Club 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 23 which is scheduled to begin at Noon PT.  It is the only sporting event flyover on the Blue Angels 2014 schedule.

With its storied history and precision flying, the mission of the Flight Demonstration Squadron is to showcase the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence and service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.  An estimated 11 million spectators view the squadron during air shows each year.  Additionally, the Blue Angels visit more than 50,000 people a show season (March through November) during school and hospital visits.
