Autographs, Aerial Thrill Show and More Await Fans When NASCAR Returns for Bank of America 500 Weekend

From autograph sessions and meet-and-greets with some of the sport’s most popular drivers to behind-the-scenes tours of the track, fans headed to Charlotte Motor Speedway when NASCAR returns for the Bank of America 500 weekend, Oct. 10-12, will have no shortage of entertainment to prepare them for the only Saturdaynight race in the Chase.

Autograph Sessions with Stars of NASCAR

Fans are invited to meet the stars of the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour during a special autograph session on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 6:20 p.m. to 7:40 p.m., before the UNOH Southern Slam 150 on Bojangles’ Pole Night. The autograph session will take place near Gate 5A on the concourse.

Drivers scheduled to attend include two-time NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion Burt Myers; three-time tour champion and defending UNOH Southern Slam 150 winner George Brunnhoelzl III; and two-time tour runner-up Andy Seuss.

On Friday, several stars of the NASCAR Nationwide Series will be on hand for a special autograph session for season ticket holders before the green flag drops on the Dollar General 300.

Trevor Bayne, Travis Pastrana and Elliott Sadler are among the drivers scheduled to sign autographs from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. along pit road before the green flag drops on the Dollar General 300 on Friday, Oct. 11. Season ticket holders interested in taking part should check in at Gate 1 outside of Turn 4 to get a wristband for entry into the autograph session.

Busch, Earnhardt Jr., Keselowski Headline NASCAR Hall of Fame Pit Party

Dedicated NASCAR fans can get closer than ever to their favorite drivers before the Bank of America 500 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Pit Party. NASCAR drivers Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski are scheduled to make appearances at the pit party, which will take place on pit road from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on race day.

The pit party is open to all fans with a pit pass or driver intro pass, and also includes appearances by radio personalities John Boy & Billy, live music, concessions and more. Paul Schadt, voice of 96.9 The Kat, will serve as emcee.

Tram Tours Open Throughout Race Week

Join in on the race week excitement with all the prerace preparations on the Trackside Tram Tour. Fans will learn the history of Charlotte Motor Speedway while getting an up close look at prerace action on the track, along pit road and in the garages, as well as a unique view of the world’s largest HDTV screen! Top it off with an opportunity to climb the 24-degree banking of the famous speedway. Seats are limited. Whisky River Offers Ultimate Race Day Party Experience

NASCAR fans looking for the ultimate race day party need look no further than Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Whisky River. Located on the Bistro level of the Ford Grandstands, Whisky River puts a new spin on one of Charlotte’s hottest clubs with a mobile bar and mechanical bull to add a little extra horsepower to race day. Team AeroDynamix to Take Flight Over Bank of America 500

An 11-plane flyover will light up the night before the Bank of America 500 with an illuminated aerial display by Team AeroDynamix. With pilots maneuvering their aircraft as little as three feet from one another and topping out at speeds in excess of 230 mph, the acrobatic air show is always a crowd favorite.

The flyover, scheduled just before the command for drivers to start their engines, caps off an exciting afternoon of prerace entertainment that also includes a concert by the Goo Goo Dolls and a death-defying high-wire stunt by the world-famous Nik Wallenda and his sister, Lijana.
