Kody King Joins Lee Faulk Racing Legends Car Program

Just days after announcing the creation of a Legends car program, Lee Faulk Racing and Development have announced Kody King as the program’s first Legends car driver.

King attended the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in December in Indianapolis, Ind., and met with the Lee Faulk Racing and Development team. There was an immediate connection between both parties, leading to a multi-year agreement for King to join the team as part of the new Legends car program.

“We’re thrilled to add Kody King to our driver roster for this year,” said Lee Faulk Racing and Development’s Michael Faulk. “Kody is gearing up for the next step in his racing career and we’re honored he and his family picked us to help him make that step into Legends cars.

“One of the biggest reasons we added the Legends car program to our team was to offer a clear path for young drivers as they make their way through the racing development ladder,” Faulk continued. “Lee Faulk Racing and Development now has a clear path from Legends cars up to late model stocks and we believe that can only help drivers like Kody as they work their way towards the top levels of NASCAR.”

The team plans to have King test a Legends car several times throughout the season with the goal of entering a handful of events as time allows. King’s primary goal will be to pursue the INEX Bandolero National championship in 2019.

“I’m excited to join Lee Faulk Racing and get my feet wet in a Legends car,” said the 11-year-old King. “While my main goal for this year is to win the Bandolero National title, I want to learn as much as I can about the Legends car. That’s the obvious next step for me in racing.”

“We feel like we couldn’t have picked a better team for our son to work with and we have to thank McCallister Precision Marketing for bringing us all together,” said Kody King’s father, Brian King. “The Lee Faulk Racing team is among the most experienced racing organizations in the region and they know what they’re doing. They may be new to Legends cars, but we’re confident they’ll get up to speed quick and help Kody learn the ropes.”
