JHE Productions’s Golfing for Good raises $23,269 for Special Olympics Cabarrus County

Over the course of six years, $183,000 has been raised for seven worthy beneficiaries through JHE Production’s annual Golfing 4 Good tournament.

The 2016 event was held Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, North Carolina, benefitting the Special Olympics Cabarrus County.

JHE, one of the nation’s premier event and corporate meeting production companies, funds the tournament so that 100 percent of its proceeds directly benefit the chosen recipient. This year’s effort resulted in $23,269.25 of needed funds for the Special Olympics.

“We have had the pleasure to support the Special Olympics for several years during its two-day event in April,” said Jay Howard, president of JHE Production. “The opportunity to experience their impact on amazing individuals compelled us to step forward and help. We are honored to support such a great organization.”

Organized by Cabarrus County Schools, Special Olympics Cabarrus County serves more than 750 children and adults with disabilities throughout the county. Training and competition are offered in 15 sports including basketball, bowling, cheerleading, softball, volleyball and more.

“Our program raises every penny to make sure that our athletes have the opportunities to train and compete in sports throughout the year,” said Special Olympics Coordinator Emily Riley. “JHE’s donation is the largest-ever, single-day fundraising amount for us. We are thrilled to say the least.”
