MMR Takes Home First Victory

Following their April 6th announcement, Martin-McClure Racing started their NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season this week competing in the Pitt Lite 125 at Bristol Motor Speedway, fielding the No. 39 and No. 75 entries piloted by drivers Chad Finchum and Caleb Holman, respectively.

Finchum, driver of the No.39 Reynolds Wrap Toyota Camry, qualified for the event in 4th position after two practice sessions in which he remained in the top 5 on speed. During the race, Finchum overtook Harrison Burton on lap 14, and remained the leader for the duration of the 125-lap event. This is Finchum’s first victory in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and the first victory for the Martin-McClure Racing Team.

Holman, driver of the No.75 Food Country USA entry, qualified for the event in the 13th position after registering the 6th fastest time in the first round of practice and 15th after the second round of practice. Holman’s race was cut short by an on-track incident on lap 82 and he finished the event in the 21st position.

The Pitt Lite 125 race will be broadcasted on NBCSN on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 1am/ET.

Finchum will return to pilot the No.39 Reynolds Wrap Toyota Camry in the Granite State 70 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 16th, 2016. Holman’s next race with the team has yet to be determined.

Hal’s Quote: “The entire Martin-McClure Racing Team gave their best effort on both teams and it paid off in a big way. Both cars preformed well on-track and although we didn’t get the result that we wanted for Caleb, it was definitely a dream come true to be in victory lane with Chad Finchum, Eric McClure, Chris Carrier, and the entire team.”

Eric’s Quote: “I’m so proud of our team’s efforts getting these cars out on the track. There’s been a lot of hard work and long hours put into the process and we saw that pay off. Being here at our home track meant a lot to our family and I was very happy to have my Dad in Victory Lane with me. It was a special moment. Again, I am very proud of everyone’s hard work this weekend and we can’t wait to see where the rest of the year takes us.”
