Rain has ended a one-hour practice session at the Illinois State Fairgrounds this morning and Menards Pole Qualifying has been canceled for today. The starting lineup for the SuperChevyStores.com 100 will be set by current car owner points.
A steady mist with an occasional rain shower cut the scheduled one-hour morning practice short at the mile-dirt track. Will Kimmel and Kyle Weatherman were the fastest two drivers during the practice session.
Officials from the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and Track Enterprises decided to forgo Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell in an effort to provide additional track time prior to the scheduled 1:30 p.m. start of the race.
ARCA Racing Series point leader Grant Enfinger will start on the pole for the race with eight-time Springfield winner Frank Kimmel on the outside pole.
