McReynolds Becomes Only NASCAR Driver Ever to Win Back-To-Back K&N Combination Events!

Prior to Friday evening, no driver had ever won multiple NASCAR K&N combination races, let alone two in the same season. Following up on his first K&N combination race victory in May, however, Brandon McReynolds put together a dominating performance leading all but 23 laps of the #ThanksKenny 150 on his way to victory and carving his name in the record books by accomplishing a feat that had alluded all prior NASCAR K&N alumni, including NASCAR stars and past winners Joey Logano and Chase Elliott.

“To even be mentioned with some of the names on that list is an incredible honor,” said McReynolds after the race, “I knew coming into tonight that we had a rare opportunity to do something special, but I did not want to get ahead of myself, I just kept telling myself to treat it like any other race.”

The combination race, which brings the best teams from the K&N East and the K&N West together twice a year to compete, has become an all-star race of sorts for the series that has developed a reputation for providing a rare glimpse into the future of the sport.
The #ThanksKenny 150 will air on NBC Sports Network Thursday, August 6 at 7:00 pm EST, and Brandon McReynolds will be making a guest appearance on RaceHub on FOX SPORTS 1 Wednesday, August 5 at 6:00 pm EST. McReynolds and his NAPA AUTO PARTS team head next to Monroe, Washington where they will compete on Saturday, August 15.
