Bonanza Cabernet and Pietro Fittipaldi Partner for the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500

As Caymus Vineyards prepares to release the 50th vintage of its Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon in June, the Wagner family is excited to announce they are partnering with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver and Haas F1 driver Pietro Fittipaldi in The Greatest Spectacle in Racing. This time, it is the family’s Bonanza Cabernet, sourced from vineyards throughout California and produced by Caymus founder Chuck Wagner, that will be in the spotlight.

Fittipaldi, who hails from a famous racing family and is widely regarded as one of the top race car drivers in the world, will be proudly representing Bonanza Cabernet when he takes the green flag at the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500.

Caymus Vineyards previously partnered with Fittipaldi at the 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona, making it an easy decision to again join forces and collaborate at the Racing Capital of the World. This iconic pairing will showcase Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon on the world’s biggest stage.

The partnership with Fittipaldi complements Caymus Vineyards’ longstanding sponsorship of Meyer Shank Racing driver Felix Rosenqvist in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and driver Ryan Preece and Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series.

“We’re proud to once again partner with Pietro Fittipaldi in this year’s Indianapolis 500, the most iconic motor race in the world,” said Karen Perry, Executive Vice President of Caymus Vineyards. “Pietro has been a fantastic ambassador for Caymus, and his relentless pursuit of excellence makes him a perfect match with our passion to produce exceptional wine. Everyone at Caymus Vineyards is excited about the partnership and we will be cheering for Pietro.”

Fittipaldi has enjoyed being part of the Caymus Vineyards family and is thrilled to continue the partnership when he takes to the legendary Brickyard for 500 miles of racing on Sunday. Bonanza Cabernet was introduced by Caymus owner and winemaker Chuck Wagner, who sought to offer a wine that celebrates ongoing exploration of California and can be enjoyed as a simple pleasure of life. Wagner aims to reach a broad range of wine consumers, citing Bonanza’s quality, character and reasonable price.

“I’m excited to have Bonanza California Cabernet along for the ride at the Indianapolis 500 this weekend,” Fittipaldi said. “The Wagner family has a reputation for producing iconic wines that are enjoyed during the celebration of special moments, so it’s an honor to work with them and now extend our relationship to include the biggest race in the world. I’m inspired by their passion for making exceptional wine and look to equal their success when we take the green on Sunday.”

Sunday will mark Fittipaldi’s second start in the Indianapolis 500. In his first Month of May visit to the famed 2.5-mile speedway, dubbed The Racing Capital of the World, he received the Fastest Rookie Award.

Pietro Fittipaldi and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES field will take to the track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 26, for the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500. The race will be televised live on NBC beginning at 11 a.m. ET. INDYCAR Radio and SiriusXM INDYCAR Nation channel 218 will carry the live radio broadcast.
