Chastain and Tootsie’s to Run CRA Late Model Race at Nashville Fairgrounds

Trackhouse Racing announced today that NASCAR Cup Series driver Ross Chastain will pilot the No. 1 Tootsie’s Chevrolet for Rackley W.A.R. at the historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on June 27.

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, a longtime partner of Trackhouse Racing, will serve as primary sponsor. Famous for their purple branding and Lower Broadway bar, the one-day show at the track is just miles from downtown.

Chastain will be in Nashville as part of the NASCAR weekend at Nashville Superspeedway when he will drive the No. 1 Busch Light Chevrolet on June 30.

“The partnership between Tootsies and Trackhouse continues to develop and bring exciting experiences to race fans,” said Trackhouse team owner Justin Marks. “Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is a Nashville icon, just like Tootsies. As always, we’re humbled by Steve Smith’s commitment to and support of our team and drivers. I know we’re all looking forward to watching Ross race and hopefully win so we can celebrate at one of the greatest Nashville entertainment destinations Thursday night.”

The race at the half-mile Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway will be the second event for Chastain and Rackley W.A.R. in the CRA Pro Late Model division. Owned by Nashville-based entrepreneur Curtis Sutton and former driver Willie Allen, Rackley W.A.R. is a premier Chevy-backed grassroots racing team in the country. In their last outing together, Chastain finished second in the No. 25 Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Protect Your Melon entry in Cordele, GA.

“First off, the NASCAR race weekend in Nashville is one of my favorite events of the year. The city and state are great supporters of racing, so to add a grassroots race at this historic venue one day early was a no brainer. Hopefully, we can light up the track just like the iconic Tootsie’s purple lights up Broadway,” Chastain said.

“Secondly, thanks to Trackhouse Racing for letting me compete and to Curtis, Willie and everyone at Rackley WAR for letting an outsider hop in. I can’t wait for this race to begin!”

The late model race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is hosted by Track Enterprises, the premier grassroots short track promoter in the country. The Battle of Broadway 150 will pit the stars of the CRA Pro Late Model Series against each other and the famous track located merely minutes outside of downtown.
