It’s A Hometown, Home Track Race For Levine At Chicagoland

Entering the season, rookie driver David Levine’s home track of Chicagoland Speedway was the only non-road course, on the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards 2015 schedule, that he had previous experience on. He has already raced in two ARCA Series events, and has logged countless additional laps giving race fans rides with the Richard Petty Driving Experience, at the Joliet, Illinois 1.5 mile tri-oval.

Now nine races into the season, David, who lives in nearby Highland Park, IL, is leading the Scott Rookie Challenge standings. He hopes that being on familiar ground will pay off with a strong finish in the race named for the series Rookie Challenge sponsor.

David enters the Scott 150 following back-to-back top ten finishes at Pocono Raceway and Michigan International Speedway. He is 5th in the driver points standings.

David Levine on racing at Chicagoland: “I love the track. The bumps give the track a lot of character. They’re not as bad in one and two as they are in three and four…but it makes it fun. The track’s really wide, and you can run wherever you want. The curved backstretch is interesting. The only straight part of the track is pit road.”

“It’s great to be racing at home in front of friends and family and It’ll be nice having some of my best friends at the race. Hopefully we can get them the win! Last week was another solid points finish. My Lira Motorsports Momo/TraqGear/Ford Performance team and I just need to keep that up for the second half of the ARCA season.”
