The KLAS Motorsports team, with driver Andy Jankowiak, will make their first trip to Dover International Speedway (DE) this week as the ARCA Racing Series visits the high-banked concrete one-mile track in a combination event with the ARCA East Series.
Although this will technically be the first ARCA Racing Series national event at Dover, there is plenty of history with this type of racecar at the track.
Various tours that have evolved into the current ARCA Racing Series and ARCA East Series have been staging events at Dover since 1982. An impressive roster of former Modified drivers including Jimmy Spencer, the late Mike Stefanik, Steve Park, Jerry Marquis and Rick Fuller have also raced in these events. Jankowiak will now be the latest driver with Modified roots to race at Dover.
Another former competitor of what was then known as the NASCAR Busch North Series, Charles Lewandoski, has helped the KLAS team prepare for Dover. Lewandoski is now the proprietor of ChaLew Performance in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Acacia Energy will serve as the primary sponsor of the #73 KLAS Motorsports entry at Dover for the second consecutive race. Acacia Energy is a Texas-based electricity provider specializing in prepaid energy plans. They offer pay-as-you-go billing for month-to-month electricity plans without credit checks or security deposits. For more information, please visit AcaciaEnergy.com.
Good Gaming Company, with their mobile app Galactic Acres, returns to the KLAS Motorsports lineup of sponsors at Dover. Galactic Acres, will be featured prominently on the quarter panels of the #73 for Friday’s race.
The KLAS Motorsports family of marketing partners also includes Automotive Consultants of Ithaca, NY (Selling new cars at wholesale prices since 1959), Yukon Creek Sportsman Club (a free-of-charge hunting camp in upstate NY for the disabled), Florida Safety Systems (Andy J and KLAS Motorsports supporters), Dak’s Market, PlanterBoxDirect.com (Durable metal planter boxes shipped to your door) and Rusty Diamond Cores LLC.
The KLAS Motorsports team and Jankowiak will compete at Dover International Speedway on Friday, April 26th for the General Tire 150 ARCA Racing Series event. The event will be televised live on FS2 and on the Fox Sports app with a post time of 5pm ET.
