From one winding road to another Ruston ready for Biscuitville 125 at Virginia International Raceway

Kenzie Ruston overcame tough odds and a steep learning curve last week at Watkins Glen International, finishing inside the top-10 after starting 19th. Ruston finds comfort in returning to the Virginia International Raceway, a track where she tested at and raced last season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series.

Ruston finished twelfth last season in her first Biscuitville 125 start. “I’m really looking forward to going back to VIR,” said Ruston. “I actually know the race track and what it takes to get around there. Watkins Glen last week was completely new, so it was tough with limited practice after we had the transmission issue in the first session. I like the fact that the track at VIR doesn’t have the Armco barriers or walls like Watkins Glen, so if you do get messed up, you have the grass to run through and just rejoin the track.

“My favorite part of VIR is coming down the hill that leads to the front stretch,” said Ruston. “You carry so much speed through that section, it’s really exciting. I think with the car we have at Ben Kennedy Racing we can challenge for a top-5 finish this weekend at VIR, maybe even win the Biscuitville 125.”

Coverage of the Biscuitville 125 will be available on Fanschoice.TV on Saturday, August 16. Practice and Qualifying will be streamed live on Fanschoice.tv at 9:00 AM, 10:25 AM, and 1:40 PM. The Biscuitville 125 will be available on Fanschoice.TV approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the race.
